This Year, While the Whole World Did Everything Differently, So Did I

For the first time in almost twenty years, I did not teach in a classroom. I worked on a dissertation, helped with the remote learning situation happening in my house, and mostly stayed home to stay safe. Now, I’m re-emerging, fully vaccinated, partially finished with a dissertation proposal, and immersed in planning for next year. What I’m realizing is that I’ve forgotten how to be many things. And now, I feel like a fish out of water in nearly every facet of my life…
